Getting started

English plus onelanguage jobs.

You do not need to speak the local language to work abroad in customer service or iGaming. Most roles run in your native language plus conversational English - the local language is not required.

How it works

Employers hire you to support customers in your strongest language. English covers training and internal tools. The country's own language is rarely needed for the job or daily life in international hubs.

Where this is easiest

Hubs like Malta, Cyprus, Lisbon, Athens and Barcelona have large international communities where English gets you through banking, housing and admin while you settle.

What counts as conversational English

Enough to follow training and use internal systems. It does not need to be perfect - it is assessed in a short conversation.

Common questions

Will I struggle day to day without the local language?+

In the main hubs, no - English is widely spoken and the expat community is large. Many people pick up the local language slowly, by choice.
